~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday to my sister
Kristen Marie Moses.
She is a beautiful women inside and out,
she is an example of good to all she knows
especially her 3 sweet little girls and her
one son. I love her and cherish the relationship we have.
I hope your day is as special as you are to me.

She Did It!!

A few weeks ago Jolene asked if she could
learn to ride her bike, she tired it and said
"the bike doesn't work!!"
Well, today she wanted to try again...
this time the bike worked!!!
She is now a bike rider, just not down hills!!
We are so proud of her!! She just needs a
little more practice and she
will be ready to go on a big bike ride!!

Day At The Park

The Kindergarten classes got to spend the
afternoon at the park to celebrate all the
Summer birthdays. It was such a beautiful
day, perfect for Popsicles, playing with
friends, and getting a turn at the pinata.
It's hard to believe another school year is
quickly coming to an end.

Let's eat out!!

We came home from walking Raychel to

school, when I asked Jolene what she wanted

for breakfast she asked if we could eat out?

I looked at her and said, "eat out? what?"

She laughed and said on the patio!!

Fun, breakfast outside!!

(Yes, she is eating peanut butter/jelly with yogurt,

whatever makes her happy)

Mother's Day

This year for Mother's Day I told Ward I'll
I wanted was to have the old, broken hot tub removed
from the back patio. So Saturday morning he got
busy and removed the hot tub!! I love my "new"
bigger patio. Where the patio swing is sitting is
the area where the hot tub was. We have spent
every evening outside in on the patio.

Many years ago we were told "you may

never have children of your own."

These are the little miracles we were

blessed with, they make everyday mothers day.

So these two angels that grace my life make any day a

great day!! They give the best hugs, kisses and can't leave

the room without saying "I love you!"

I am so blessed to be their mother!!

A Day At The Beach

In Jolene's class they got to "go to the beach!!"
They had so much fun pretending!! Wearing hats,
rubbing pretend sun lotion on themselves, wearing
sunglasses, and laying beach towels. The art projects were
all centered around water and sand.
All Jolene talked about was the beach day, so she
asked me to come and get pictures of her "at the beach."
I think she had a great week at the beach!!

Happy Day!!

Jolene and I wait until there are no more
chances of snow in our forecast, which can be as late as
the first of May. We shop carefully for great
colors and of course the flowers that come
back to "visit" every year.
We weed out the tulips beds, plant new flowers,
water them and then sit back and enjoy!!
I really love this time with her, we laugh,
talk and I get to hear ALL that is inside
my little Jolene!!

Girls On The Run

For the past 9 weeks Raychel has participated in an after school program for the 3rd and 4th graders at her school called Girls On The Run.

It's an amazing program to teach young girls self-esteem, healthy physical habits, developing good relationships, and positive self body image.

The first hour they would have a mini class with stretching exercises, then the last 30-45 minutes they would train for the big 5K run at the end of the course.

On Saturday May 2 was the BIG event, it was for the girls in our area and all girls and women in the surrounding areas, there were over 1000 women who participated.

Group Picture

Anxiously waiting for the race to startRaychel and I just before the race began

Raychel did great! She ran almost the whole race, it

was great running past those we knew and

hearing them shout her name although I

think Jolene was her

loudest cheerleader!!

She set the pace and

didn't slow down much.

At the finish line she saw her dad!! I think the smile

on her face speaks loud and clear, she had a great time.

I am so very proud of her and her desire to do this.

When she bought the sign up home and realized

it was the same time as ballet

she made a choice,

she wanted to run,

she wanted to try something new.

She tried and succeed!! She can't wait for next year!!

Kindergarten Field Trip

On May 1, three of the Kindergarten class got to go
on a field trip to the fish hatchery. They had a picnic
at the park across the street, got to have a tour of
the hatchery and then feed the fish!
It was a beautiful, cool day, perfect for a beautiful
hike along a waterfall.
always time for a game of tag.... holding hands as they cross the street to
the fish hatchery

The kids sat very patiently to the wildlife
leader explain about what they were about to see.
I just love this picture, these two are great little friends. so many fish to feed and so little food in their tiny
little hands to hold. This part to of the field trip was my favorite!
This area was breath taking!!
Absolutely gorgeous!
