~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

~Just A Day~

What a fun weekend. We did nothing! We spent the whole time together, and just enjoyed each other. Jolene had us laughing so hard when she found a new purpose for the left over balloons from my birthday. She had them up her shirt a little pillow down her pants to balance out her little body.
During the afternoon Raychel worked hard on her Young Women's personal progress book she is making for all of her goals. She is doing a great job on it. She is so creative.

After dinner the girls both voted on having mud cups for dessert tonight and don't forget the gummy worms.s!

~Heart Attack~

I love Valentine's Day!!!!
I don't need a day to tell my loved ones how much I love them and they don't need one either, but it sure is fun doing something extra special and surprising them on this day. I spent a good portion of the morning tracing, cutting and decorating hearts to decorate closet doors in the girls room. I wrote on the hearts things that reminded me of them or how I felt about them. They turned out really cute taped all over their doors. It will be fun to see their faces when they come home and see the love.

~Girl Party~

We had a house full of girls today.  It was fun watching them all interact.  We had Sierra over for the day while her mom had shoulder surgery, Jodi had to work so we had her two girls and then of course Sara, the little girl who I watch weekly. The older girls wanted to mother Sara, but she wanted nothing to do with them.  She was my little shadow for the morning. Jolene and Sara helped me take down the Christmas tree and decorations while the others watched a movie downstairs by the fire.  It was fun having the two girls helping me.  Sara was so proud of herself when she would put the ornaments in the box. I loved having Jolene helping me.  She is so fun.  She asks some of the best questions.  She has so much going on inside her little mind.  After answering all her deep throughout questions I am tired!  I love her ability to love life.  After lunch when Sara left the other girls started to play the Wii.  They had so much fun.  The Manera girls ran over to their home to get extra controls so 4 out of the 5 could play at a time.  They played some dance game that had them laughing so hard.  It was fun to see them all enjoying their last days of Christmas vacation.

A Day At The Park

The girls and I spent the day in Grand Junction together.  We had so much fun doing a little shopping having lunch together then playing at the park.  The playground was really nice and the trees were so big and gave so much shade.  There was a lady playing fetch with her dog while the girls watched.  They were so impressed with how this dog kept wanting to play.  The lady was very nice and asked the girls if they wanted to throw the ball for the dog.  Of course they did, they loved it.  It was a great day to be out.

Jump

Buying the trampoline was the best idea ever.
The girls love it.
They love to be out there together
playing, jumping, laughing, playing games and having fun.  I
I enjoy seeing then having so much fun together.

A Dog Gone Good Day!

This is our family dog, Cammy. We got her in March 1999,
just a couple of months before Raychel was born.
Cammy was already 2 years old. She lived with us
in Washington, moved to Colorado with us and "rented"
a space at Sterling's while we rented until our permanent
move 7 months later. She has been a great dog.
She has been a great hunting partner for Ward, she loves
the water whether its the river, lake, or the kids swimming pool.
Until this last year she never missed a hunting season, Ward
learned she was going blind and deaf on one of the hunts
when she got disoriented in the river. We thought she was
a goner, luckily she figured it out and made her way back to Ward.
One thing for sure, no matter if Cammy is with us a few more weeks, months or years, she is the "girls dog." Cammy looks forward to her play time with the girls, and can't get enough of it!! And neither can the girls.

A Day Off!

Last Monday (1-19-09) with the kids out of school,
we did nothing and loved it! First, Raychel
decided her room needed to be vacuumed!

then the girls could "go to the movies"
Notice the car TV on her bed! They love to do this
in one of their rooms, later you will see why it
wasn't in Jolene's room this time!
We have yet to have a day off of school
without a great craft!! Fabric painting on
denim notebook!!

And this is why the movie was in Raychel's room,
Jolene's room was the "Club" room!!

Raychel has been learning to cook and she loves
to make her own mac'n'cheese!!
She said, "Sorry mom, it taste
better when I make it"
Please, keep making it!!

Jolene loves her soup!!

We had a great day!!

Christmas Pictures

Merry Christmas and a
Happy New Year from
our family to yours

Horse Rides

On Sunday the 14th we went to Cousin Thayne's
house and rode his horses. It was 14 degrees, but the girls
loved it!! Poor Jolene had complained all day of a
tummy ache but felt good enough to come along.
Poor Jolene got the tummy flu that night for the week!!
Raychel is a horse lover!! She was so happy.
This girl loves all animals especially horses.
Jolene trying to feed one of the horses.

Hugs for the huge dog!

This is Jaime's pet sheep that thinks it
is a dog! It follows the dog everywhere!
It is the cutest thing to watch!!

Cleaning Day!

Okay, I told Ward the other night, I had had it!!
I couldn't do it any more, I was firing the maid!! (ME)
She wasn't doing her job very well!!
He just laughed, I told him "her" biggest complaint was
not getting "paid" enough!!
We had a good laugh, then in the morning
the girls and I got busy!!
I love a clean house.
We played some great cleaning music, the girls
choice so Hannah Montana, High School Musical,
and Jolene's favorite the CD from Cars!!There's nothing better then a clean room
clean sheets and a good night sleep!!
They even got into cleaning their own rooms!!
Raychel's always takes the longest, she forgets all
she has until she cleans and plays at the same time!!
Silly girl!

Jolene loves a clean room!
The cleaner the better

They even tag teamed cleaning their bathroom!!
I truly have the greatest girls in the world!!

My payment that night was a huge WOW!! from Ward

and getting to be with the girls all day!!
