~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Jolene and her friends got to pass out their
Valentine's for each other.

Very busy searching for
the right bag

Jolene and I made all the sugar
cookies for the class and visitors to
decorate. It is always fun
to cook or bake with the girls.Time for some outside fun!!!
Did you know Jolene is part monkey?Entertaining themselves by running
around the pole. Can't be outside and not swing!!
Raychel ready for school
Raychel and her friend Kianna,
Yep, even Raychel has another heart in her
hair for the occasion.
All in all the parties were a huge hit, now for
a long 4 day weekend.

Hair Days

Just another Valentine hair idea, out
of the two this is her favorite.
Sooo much easier too. She is so beautiful!
One of my favorite Valentines!
Be Mine Teddy 1

Spaghetti Sauce Mix
1/2 teaspoons minced dried garlic
1 Tablespoon minced dried onion
1 Tablespoon dried parsley
1 Table spoon green pepper flakes
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1 Tablespoon cornstarch
Mix together and store in a airtight container.
To serve: Add one cup tomato sauce, 1 1/2 cups water and one recipe sauce mix. Simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Makes 2 cups.
Even Raychel who usually eats just the noodles, had two servings with the sauce!! It's a hit!!

100 Days

On Tuesday Feb. 2nd Jolene's class
celebrated their 100th day of school.
She is pretty excited that she is now
100 days smarter!
They made a list of 100 things
they love...

they put 100 treats in a baggie for snack,
10 pieces of 10 items.
example...10 marshmallows, 10 gum drops... then they ate them and played outside...
who doesn't love being outside with the sun
shining, no wind and about 50 degrees in February!

then inside for learning labs.

Just Jolene

On Saturday Jan. 31, Raychel was invited
to a friends birthday party at the rec center.
from 10am-4pm.
That left a day with Jolene!!
We went to lunch at her favorite place because,
"they have drumsticks and Pop Pop and I love
drumsticks!"She held this up and said
"Sorry Pop Pop none for you!"
Just the two of us!After lunch we went for a drive and found this horse
she wanted this picture so she could show it to Raychel,
Raychel loves horses and missed this one Jolene
named SnowBell
"Why is my Shadow bigger them me?"Just hanging out. It was a very beautiful day!

Jolene wanted to take pictures so the next
4 pictures are by Jolene.
Not too bad!
Animal tracks....

snow....

the view...

Walking back.....
a spin from dad....

Jolene loves her ipod... it sure makes
it easier to visit together without
their music...

After a long great day out the star of
the day is sleeping...
It was great having a day with Jolene.

Work Hard, Play Harder

Over last few months Ward and his brother, Sterling,
(before he fell out of the back of the truck while loading the boat
and broke his foot,) would go duck hunting in the very
early cold hours of the morning!!
They had great success and fun being out
together as brothers and hunters.A few times he went alone (not with the boat) and
still had great success! Cami, his long time hunting partner has reach the
age of retirement and had to enjoy the
hunt when it was over! Another crazy fellow hunter has also gotten in
on the action.I am so grateful for my husband who works so hard to
take care of us. He deserves these cold morning hunts
to go out with some great men and enjoy his time.

All are anxious for next season, hopefully Sterling
will make a great come back and the three of them
will be at it again.

I love the stories I hear when he comes home, the group
the were able to sneak up on, the ones that got away,
the group from the river bank that knew him
and yelled out the friendly "Hello" and there's
nothing better then a happy, relax man for the
rest of the weekend!

Hair day

We had extra time, so we spent it on hair!!
My girls and I love to stalk the hair blogs and
then try them ourselves. This one is for
Valentine's Day, I know we have time
but we have to try a few out first.
This one kind of scared me, but ended up being
pretty easy. I love the way it turned out!

Can you see the heart!??
