~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

~Straight A's

Another quarter down, one more to go!  She got straight A's again!!  She has been on the Principal's honor roll for strength A's every quarter since she started middle school.  We are so proud of our girls, they both work hard in school and get good grades.

~Principal Honor Roll~

What a proud mommy moment!
Jolene made straight A's which puts her on the
Principal's honor roll, again!  I was able to attend their awards
ceremony this quarter.  It is hard to believe our baby is old
enough to be in middle school.  She is doing so well.

~CHSSA Solo and Ensemble Festival Practice

Hannah talked Raychel into doing the Ensemble Festival this year.
I am so glad.  I have wanted her to do this for the past few years but she
was afraid to do it alone and didn't know who to do it with her.  She wasn't
sure what the judges would say and didn't want to be alone if they said
she wasn't good enough.  These two girls are equally matched.  They
will do amazing together, they practice every chance they get, whether at
home or when they come in after lunch.
 They want to do well.

~Multitasking

This morning when I came downstairs I caught a glimpse of the sunrise and had to get a picture.  It was so peaceful outside, the sky was an amazing shade of lavender.  I wish the picture was the real thing.
The girls requested pumpkin pancakes for breakfast, the smell throughout the house was mouth watering good! I thought it was funny watching Raychel eat, she has a test in Social Studies so she thought she would multitasking while she was eating.  She is such a good student, she gets great grades and many good compliments from her teachers.

~Dance~

Friday night, dance night!

The winter wonderland dance!

Raychel was so excited to go hang out with her friends and enjoy herself.

They had so much fun. They posed for some pictures before they left,

they had to much fun posing and being silly together. Sometimes I

wish I could be a fairy in her pocket and hang out with her,

watch her, and learn from her.

She came home with lots of stories, laughs, and jokes from the night.

I am so glad she has surrounded herself with some great friends

to associate with and be an example to.

~Positive Referral~

While I was dropping Jolene off at school I got a call on my cell phone that was from the Middle School. The first thing I thought was, "what did she forget?" When I said, "Hello?" There was a man's voice on the other end. It threw me off. It ended up being the Principal at Raychel's school. He said he had Raychel in his office because she had received a positive referral from on of her teachers. I was so proud!! He asked if I had time for him to read it to me. Of course I did!! He said the referral came from Mr. Novosad, he had marked:
Excellent class participation, Exhibits kind behavior, outstanding effort, Constantly reliable, and Helpful to peers.
Mr. Novosad went on to write:
Raychel is such a kind soul. Her kindness rubes off on so many students. She has seemed to really come out of her shell, and is a very positive leader in the classroom. She always has a kind word or smile for anyone that needs it in class. I really believe Raychel needs to be recognized for her tremendous efforts in class!

~Staight A's~

She did it again!!
She is on roll, a principals honor roll that is!!
Raychel has really done well in middle school. She has things figured out and has really come into her own. She works really hard in school and her grades show it! She loves her teachers, and her classes, and she has several great friends in most of her classes which always makes going better. It was nice to be in attendance again at the end of this quarter to see her receive her certificate of honor for making straight A's!!!
