~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

~Autumn

Have you ever had one of those days where you felt love, peace, joy, and  was overflowing with happiness? That was my weekend.  We headed out on Friday when Ward got home from work.  The trailer was loaded so all we had to do was hook up the truck and away we went.  We arrived in the mountains late.  In the morning it was like Christmas, I couldn't wait to see all the Fall colors, the lake and enjoy our days away.  While the girls and I got ready for the day Ward took off with for a quick 2 hour motorcycle ride. He took his camera phone and took pictures he knew I would love.  When he returned we had lunch then we all headed up the mountain to see all the colors!  I was so excited!  I love this time a year and seeing part of the country we haven't seen before.  I was overwhelmed with peace as we drove.  I couldn't stop thinking this world was created for our pleasure.  It was created for us to enjoy and love.  To look around its hard not to feel the power of Heaven.  I felt so blessed to be with my little family, laughing, talking and spending this time without the world getting in the middle.  We got back into camp in time to start dinner and watch a powerful lightening storm come through.  We all sat out under the awning enjoying the storm.  When we went in to eat I was asked to say the blessing on the food,  I could hardly get through the prayer.  My emotions were so strong for the love I feel for my Heavenly Father and the beautiful life He has allowed me to live.  I have been watched over, comforted, blessed and guided to  this stage in my life and am so grateful for all I have.  This weekend was very fast, but it was amazing in memories!

~Fall

What a great evening.
We started by raking the leaves in the backyard, then moved to the front yard.  We started raking and then Raychel ended up covering Jolene with all the leaves.  They had to much fun. We not only raked our yard but the girls were having so much fun we did the front yards of two of  our neighbors.  After we were done we headed inside for hot cocoa and cookies to end the night.

I love this tree! It is just an Aspen tree, but this Fall it as been magic. This Fall it has turned a color it has never been before! RED, it is amazing! When the sun hits it the color is so beautiful. Each day the color changes ever so slightly. It is headed to the pink side of red. I can't wait to see what color it end up turning.

~Fall~

We have three Aspen trees in our front yard. They are growing so tall and are so beautiful all year round. Usually in the Fall our trees turn yellow, but this Fall one of our trees were very red with a touch of pink. It is so beautiful!

Fall~Aspens

I love Fall!!
I love all the yellow Aspens as we drive
around. I love seeing all the colors changing and
how beautiful they are! This is the one in our yard.
The day was beautiful, the weather was perfect,
so we cleaned up the the yard and enjoyed our time outside
before the weather changes to snow!!

Fall

This is my favorite tree in town.
I go out of my way everyday to pass it.
It is huge!!
It is beautiful this time of year.
It starts green,
changes to a bright yellow
slowing changes to a red that is almost pink,
then its last stage is all red.
There is so much beauty around, if we stop
going so fast through life and enjoy
what is right before us.

~Fall Family Pictures Part 2~

Once we got home and downloaded the first setting of family pictures, I wasn't in love with any of them enough to put it on my wall or send them out in Christmas cards. So my great little family let me pick out different clothes and we went back out after church. It was still, fun, still beautiful and this time we couldn't seem to keep the horses out of the pictures! We left Drake at home and decided he need to wait a few years to be in pictures. The girls still poses us and we still laughed, and this time we found the perfect picture that I love and so does everyone else. It's a good thing we do this ourselves or I could spend a fortune on setting fees!!
