~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

~Beautiful

"Love should be the very heart of family life".  President Thomas S. Monson
Today was a beautiful Sunday, we were able to all be at church together as an eternal family.  I love being at church with my family. Being able to look down the row and see our children singing, taking the sacrament, listening to the speakers and gaining their own testimonies.  I am complete because of  the three of them.

~Autumn

Have you ever had one of those days where you felt love, peace, joy, and  was overflowing with happiness? That was my weekend.  We headed out on Friday when Ward got home from work.  The trailer was loaded so all we had to do was hook up the truck and away we went.  We arrived in the mountains late.  In the morning it was like Christmas, I couldn't wait to see all the Fall colors, the lake and enjoy our days away.  While the girls and I got ready for the day Ward took off with for a quick 2 hour motorcycle ride. He took his camera phone and took pictures he knew I would love.  When he returned we had lunch then we all headed up the mountain to see all the colors!  I was so excited!  I love this time a year and seeing part of the country we haven't seen before.  I was overwhelmed with peace as we drove.  I couldn't stop thinking this world was created for our pleasure.  It was created for us to enjoy and love.  To look around its hard not to feel the power of Heaven.  I felt so blessed to be with my little family, laughing, talking and spending this time without the world getting in the middle.  We got back into camp in time to start dinner and watch a powerful lightening storm come through.  We all sat out under the awning enjoying the storm.  When we went in to eat I was asked to say the blessing on the food,  I could hardly get through the prayer.  My emotions were so strong for the love I feel for my Heavenly Father and the beautiful life He has allowed me to live.  I have been watched over, comforted, blessed and guided to  this stage in my life and am so grateful for all I have.  This weekend was very fast, but it was amazing in memories!

Cinderella Ballet

We saw the Sleeping Beauty Ballet a couple of years
ago and couldn't wait to see more Fairy Tale Ballets.
Several months ago we bought tickets to see the
Cinderella Ballet, and it's finally here!
We headed to Denver early Saturday morning to spend the
day around town, check into
a hotel, eat and head to the Ballet.
What a beautiful night!
The Ballet was wonderful,
I am so glad we are able to take the girls to
the ballet, see plays and expose them to
things outside of our small town.
Every day make a memory

Valentine's Day

I am so in love!
Everyday I fall deeper deeper in love with
the most amazing man ever!
He came home today with
these gorgeous roses.
I remember our first Valentine's Day,
he showed up at my mom's home
in between work and class to
bring me roses.
I thought I was in love then, it is nothing
compared to the love I feel today.
Every day only gets better and better.

Great Grand Neice

My nephew Christopher and his wife Amanda had a
sweet little girl on January 24.  Her name is
Lilly Louise, Weighing 7 lb 9 oz. 20 in long.
What a wonderful reason to make a quilt!
I love to sew and make new things.  When the
girls and I found this material I had to buy it not knowing
for who. I only wish we all lived closer so I could
snuggle her in her new blanket.

~Japan~

This morning all over the news were the devastating details of the worst earthquake to hit Japan, 8.9.  Following the earthquake was a tsunami that swept away cars, homes, and businesses as it touched land. Prime Minister Naoto Kan has said, "Japan is experiencing its greatest hardships since World War II as it tackles the aftermath of an earthquake, tsunami and a growing nuclear crisis."

I know we were glued to the TV in shock of all that country is and will go through.  I couldn't help but look at my little family and cry for the people in Japan who lost their families.  We read in the scriptures of all the turmoil that will come to the world before the second coming of the Lord.  The other day someone asked if all this heartache in the world was going on when we were growing up, I think the answer is yes, but even more so now as we continue to get closer to the second coming.  I can only pray that we are ready, that we are getting our children ready and we are worthy when that time comes.
It was also a relief to hear that all the LDS missionaries serving in that area were safe and accounted for.  I can only imagine how their families must feel to know their children are safe.
