~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

~Autumn

Have you ever had one of those days where you felt love, peace, joy, and  was overflowing with happiness? That was my weekend.  We headed out on Friday when Ward got home from work.  The trailer was loaded so all we had to do was hook up the truck and away we went.  We arrived in the mountains late.  In the morning it was like Christmas, I couldn't wait to see all the Fall colors, the lake and enjoy our days away.  While the girls and I got ready for the day Ward took off with for a quick 2 hour motorcycle ride. He took his camera phone and took pictures he knew I would love.  When he returned we had lunch then we all headed up the mountain to see all the colors!  I was so excited!  I love this time a year and seeing part of the country we haven't seen before.  I was overwhelmed with peace as we drove.  I couldn't stop thinking this world was created for our pleasure.  It was created for us to enjoy and love.  To look around its hard not to feel the power of Heaven.  I felt so blessed to be with my little family, laughing, talking and spending this time without the world getting in the middle.  We got back into camp in time to start dinner and watch a powerful lightening storm come through.  We all sat out under the awning enjoying the storm.  When we went in to eat I was asked to say the blessing on the food,  I could hardly get through the prayer.  My emotions were so strong for the love I feel for my Heavenly Father and the beautiful life He has allowed me to live.  I have been watched over, comforted, blessed and guided to  this stage in my life and am so grateful for all I have.  This weekend was very fast, but it was amazing in memories!

~Camping Spring Break~

What a sad day, the day we head home.
Jolene and Drake continued to have fun in the snow while we started getting things packed up. It doesn't matter how many times we come the girls still love to play in the carts while we are loading everything up. I love to listen to them work together, argue their ideas out, and then eventually work together to get the job done. Even though we came pretty early in the season this year, and were the only people around, we had a wonderful time. We were able to regroup and become renewed as a family. I think we can now return to reality and face what lies ahead for the next month until school is out.

~Camping Spring Break~

Our first morning in at the cabin was beautiful! The air was so crisp and cool.
I was the first one up and had to capture a few pictures as the sun came up. The whole time we were there the sky was so blue with only a trace of clouds. As we sat around laughing and visiting I was so overwhelmed with joy.

I have the best life!
Raychel was so excited to start the morning fire, she is getting pretty good at it. She says she is getting ready for girls camp. Jolene had fun getting Drake to obey her and then getting him to eat snow out of her hands, you would have thought how he responded he was getting treats. Our crazy dog enjoyed our vacation as much as we did. He loved having the girls take him on walks, pet him and even lay on him.

We loved today.

~Camping Spring Break~

It has been a couple of crazy months with school, activities, work and just daily living. The girls have done amazing is school again this quarter by working hard. We have all been saying we needed some time away together for Spring break, but we didn't want to go sight seeing or stay in a hotel and be busy doing....so we all decided to go to our favorite away place, the cabin! It was perfect as always. There was still snow on the ground, but the temperature was perfectly warm!! Jolene had fun just shoveling snow around the side of the cabin and playing with Drake. Raychel enjoying laying around reading and playing with Jolene and Drake. It was a wonderful long weekend away that was exactly what we asked for!!

~Camping Morning~

Our view couldn't have been any better. I love this first picture of Ward and Jolene, it was first thing in the morning, they were sitting there talking about all the fish they were going to catch! They both had big dreams! We ended up catching 10 fish!! Not bad for our last day camping. We had a great time and like always, hated to leave! Until next Summer......
