~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

~Field Trip

What a really great day.  Friday, no school but the
4th graders had a field trip to the Aquarium in Denver.
Jolene loaded on the bus with all the rest of her friends, I got to
ride with Raychel and off we went for an adventure.
There was so much to see!  We have never been to
the aquarium so we were pretty excited.  We saw
all kinds of fish, an octopus, coral, pet the sting ray,
saw birds, and even a tiger.  Not to mention the drive
over was also very beautiful.  Raychel took lots of
pictures as we headed over the pass, we both couldn't
believe how much snow was still at the top of the pass.

What a great hike!  This hike was about 1.5 miles.  We headed out with the
Manera's for the adventure.  The girls all loved it.  It really pushed Raychel
since  her knee surgery she hasn't been able to do much.  The weather was perfect,
it even rained on us some at the top.  The view was beautiful.  It is amazing to think
the wind, water and erosion has caused this natural arch.

~Playdate

Who knew wrestling on a trampoline could be so much fun?
These three sure did.
They laughed so hard and had so much fun.
It was fun watching them play and wrestle together.  I love these
early warm Spring days that are just warm enough to bring
everyone outside to enjoy it.

~Outdoor Fun

Today was a nice cool day with a little overcast.
Jolene had so much fun with Drake on a
lease walking him around the yard.  He did
much better in the backyard then he
does on a real walk.
Before she came in she made the
cutest little sidewalk chalk drawing of herself
with Drake.  I sure hope this
dog knows how loved he is.

~Winter Garden

I am so ready for Spring.  I am
tired of looking at the garden with
no color.  Jolene and I can't wait
to get in dirt, plant flowers and enjoy
Spring.

~Country Life

The new and old.
A new bright red barn.
I love the way
barns look so big,
bright and welcoming.
It's the country life.
Then just down the road is an old
worn out farm home. I can't help
wondering what is the
story behind the home.
Who lived there?
Where are they now?
How long did they live there?
How many lived in small home?
Why did they leave?
How did they leave?
What will happen to the old home now?

~Winter Trees

Today after I dropped the girls off at school I wasn't ready to go home.
It was a warm day considering the time of year, so I headed over to walk
around the pond.  It was so peaceful.  The only sound were the two geese
crossing the ice.  They were having their won conversation and didn't even
notice where I was. The trees are so bare and scary looking against the
overcast sky.  It was a perfect day to take pictures and think.

~Rifle Falls

What a cold great day.  I took the girls and two  friends to
Rifle Falls.  The Falls are so beautiful when they are frozen.
There was so much to explore even with the snow covering.
We wondered around for a couple of hours hiking around and
enjoying the cold.  By the time we got done exploring we
were frozen.  Once we got home we heated up with
hot chocolate and marshmallows.
