~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

Let's Go Fly A Kite

The wind was perfect Saturday to fly a kite.
First we started with Ward's
kite we got before children
when we went to the coast
for a vacation. Lets just say it didn't work very well.
It would go up...but came
back down again.
And even found the a tree. (yes if you look close that is Ward in the tree)

We finally went to the
neighborhood store and bought little $1 kites for the girls.
They worked great!! We had a wonderful family
Saturday doing nothing and loving it!!

Jolene loved flying her Dora kite until her hands got too cold and she passed it off.

If you look
high in the
sky you will see the Dora kite.

Friday Night

Friday evening we had a great time.
We ordered pizza, watched a great movie,
Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium.
The girls and I love this part when Mr.
Magorium dances on bubble wrap. We
so want to do that!!

Raychel made a dessert they
had at school for a class party.
I know it looks..interesting. It's just
chocolate pudding, oreos and gummy
worms to look like dirt. They had
so much fun making their own. It was
a hit with the girls and Ward.

Then the lights went out for a few hours and the sister sleep over became a family sleep over in our room!!

Blowing Bubbles

A great way to pass the time!!
The girls love to blow bubbles
and see who can get the most.
It never fails, one bubble blower
always works better then the other.
This time it's Jolene's that worked the best!!

Field Trip

Today for Pre-school Jolene's class went
to the
Lamb Ranch. It is always fun to see the
baby lambs!! These little lambs were only 2
days old.
Jolene didn't want to understand
why we
couldn't bring one home!! Where
do I start!!??
The kids got to hold the baby lambs
get a "ride"
on the tractor, and have snack on
the hay bails.

Easter

What a great day!! Another great Easter tradition
is of course the new Easter dresses. This year they
wanted yellow!! Well, we found them!! After church
we had our Easter egg hunt and finished preparing
the meal. It was a really nice day. The church meetings
were beautiful, very spiritual. It was a great day
to remember our Savior and his sacrifice for us,
to know that because of the resurrection we
may live as an eternal family.

Preparing for Easter

I really enjoy Easter!!
We had a great day Saturday
coloring the Easter Eggs and seeing what great
colors we could come up with. We made our traditional
Easter bunny cake, and prepared some of the
great salads to go with Easter dinner. When Raychel was little she came across a picture of me with my siblings holding the Easter bunny cake we had made and every since we have made it our families tradition as well. Everyone gets involved with what kind of frosting, what the face will look like to turning coconut into "grass". It's a lot of fun!!

A great way to end Spring Break

The last day of Spring Break Ward
took the day off!! We went to
Kidz Plex, out to lunch and to the movie
"Horton Hears A Who".
What a
great movie.
There is nothing better
then hearing
the girls laugh and being
out of town as a family!!

Beginning of Spring Break!!

What a great week off!! Or as Raychel says,
"10 days off!!" We hung out with friends,
had picnics, did crafts, went to the parks and Ward
even took a day off to spend time with the us during
Spring Break!

Family Day

Since Ward's work schedule has kept him so
busy and gone late in the evenings we spent
the day together as a family!! It was great
and much needed. We hung out, went to
lunch in Glenwood Springs then drove
around and ended up at the fish hatchery.
What an adventure!! Jolene asked,
"Where's the fishing poles, dad!!"

A visit to the dentist

Both girls did great at the dentist. They each
got their teeth cleaned and had
X-Rays done and still have no cavities!!
We found out Jolene has her 6 year molars coming
in and the two front bottom teeth are loose!! I guess that means the tooth fairy will be visiting us some time in the future!!
At the end of their visit they each got a little bag with dental floss, a tooth brush, stickers, lip gloss, and a pencil.

Pheasant Hunting

Ward and Jolene went clay pigeon
shooting Saturday morning to get
ready to go pheasant hunting.
Jolene was the "pull" girl and loved it!!

Ward, Cami and several friends
had great fun and success pheasant hunting.

The girls and I had a great time watching
the hunt, (when we could see them)
taking walks, and checking out all
the pheasants!!

Cami flushed out many pheasants
and retrieved the ones Ward shot.
We had some very tired hunters on
the drive home.
