~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

Christmas 2008

I truly love Christmas Morning!!
The girls are so excited!! Surprisingly they
slept until almost 8!!
Santa you did great! The doll is a hit!! The crystal turtle is beautiful mom
and Raychel loves it!! A nice addition
to her collection!didj the new leapfrog game for Raychel,
she was very happy and surprised!Jolene loved the ponies Raychel got her!!
Huge hug!!Raychel loves her new chair her game and
her American doll. Jolee is the best dressed and cared for baby
around!
Beautiful bookcases we bought for the girls
from Cousin Thayne, this one is for
Raychel.
This one is for Jolene
Our neighbor was throwing away her old
cedar chest and asked if we would be interested in it!!
YES!!
It was a little scratched up, but
goodness it is about 40 years old!!
Nothing some sandpaper and paint
couldn't fix! It will be a great toy chest!

Not as planned

Not the Christmas Eve we had planned.
I truly love this man I married,
he works so hard he gives everything
he does everything he has. He had to work on
Christmas Eve this year he gave his word and he honored it.
He got home much later then expected as he walked in
the door he looked more upset about the time
then we were. We had the blanket on the floor,
a movie ready to play and bowls of our favorite
Christmas Eve munchies ready to be munched.
He sat on the floor with the girls on either side
of him and you could literally see the stress leave his face.
He was home and he was welcomed there!
We made sure the stockings were hung with care. The traditional sister sleep over was finally
under way!! (Notice Ella was not going
to be left out of the girls night!)

The first look at what Santa had left for Jolene!
The begged for clothes for baby Jolee laid nice
on the floor waiting to be worn by the favorite baby.

Santa had left wonderful gifts for Raychel as well.
The American Girl Doll anxiously waited for the
sun to come up so she could be well loved,
Thank you Santa for all your hard work to
make dreams come true and the
Christmas Spirit even stronger.

Traditions

It's funny to me that every year on Christmas Eve
the girls open pj's and slippers, yet every
year they are just as excited as they were the
VERY first time!

Great new slippers After we were done opening the presents we
put oatmeal in a bowl, put it on the front porch
and waited to see if the reindeer would
leave a bell!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve 2008

Just a few great pictures by the
Christmas tree on Christmas Eve
while we waited to open the much
anticipated gift!!
Jolene wanted to make sure
her eyes were opened nice and wide!

Our very special little girls who are
our greatest gifts

Hearts=Lunch?

One day after Ward was done hunting,
he was cleaning the ducks and geese when
Raychel asked if she could see the heart. Well,
the science lesson started. Then she asked,
"Can we eat the heart?" Ward asked her
if she wanted to, and she said "YES!"
So the two of them took the hearts and the
breast in and started cooking!!
Jolene and I decided to watch!! Not exactly what
we wanted for lunch!!
Raychel liked them!! She wanted these pictures
taken to prove to her Aunt Carey that she
really did eat the heart!
I'm so proud!?

Outdoor fun!

December 20, the girls had a great
time playing outside,
even Cammie got in on the fun!

Back Tracking

(Sorry about going backwards, but since I print
my blog into a book I couldn't forget the
class party for Jolene. She was sick the
next day so we missed Raychel's party but
we heard it was also lots of fun!)
A great Kindergarten Christmas party
the one day Jolene had to go to school!!

Christmas Pictures

Merry Christmas and a
Happy New Year from
our family to yours

Horse Rides

On Sunday the 14th we went to Cousin Thayne's
house and rode his horses. It was 14 degrees, but the girls
loved it!! Poor Jolene had complained all day of a
tummy ache but felt good enough to come along.
Poor Jolene got the tummy flu that night for the week!!
Raychel is a horse lover!! She was so happy.
This girl loves all animals especially horses.

Hugs for the huge dog!

This is Jaime's pet sheep that thinks it
is a dog! It follows the dog everywhere!
It is the cutest thing to watch!!

Kindergarten Music Program

Kindergarten Music Program
Don't forget to listen along the way...

Jolene was so excited for her first
school music program. She knew what she
was going to wear the day the teacher
told them to "dress in their best"...
last years Christmas dress. She wanted a picture by our favorite
collection of Nutcrackers. Lots of friends also
"patiently" waiting to go
on stage.

More great friends

Kylee, Jolene and Jackie

The greatest Kindergarten teacher
EVER!!
Miss PaintonIt was a packed school, some parents
were even standing in the back!
Like us, Jolene didn't want to be left alone
before they went on stage and Ward was coming
straight from work.
Let the music begin!!
We Wish You A Merry Christmas!

Patently waiting for the next song

Take a listen...

My favorite...Santa Clause is coming to town
