~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

Bread/Spudnut Enrichment Class

The field by the church was full this morning of
several deer in velvet.
What sight!!

6 bucks and 2 does.
This morning we had a bread/spud nut making class by Paula
Morgan, it was so fun. I have NEVER had success with yeast, so
I quit trying. My friend Jan taught me an easy way to make
really good cinnamon rolls with yeast, so I was excited to learn
how to make bread.

It wasn't has hard as I thought it was going to be, it was
nice being at the church with so many friends and learn
together. When one batch would need a little extra help
Paula was able to help and teach us how to "save" our
bread.
I have thrown out many batches of rolls even to the
point of throwing out the rolls and the recipe!
It was nice to hear that mine had turned out
"perfect," I just hope it's not beginners luck!!

These are only about 1/2 of all the spud nuts
we all made. It was great to learn, eat and
bring home to our families.

I feel better educated now and excited to
try again on my own to make
homemade rolls for my family.

From my parents

When we got home from Denver, and things had calmed down, I got on the computer and found this great letter from my parents. I print my blog and make it into a book for our family to have and always remember, so I need to have these special notes from my parents to complete our books.

All.....

Just finished reading everyone's blog's.....it was great, I love getting on and reading and seeing in pictures all that is going on in your lives.

We have had several birthdays this month with another get together at the pool this Friday for Clarice's (grandma) birthday. Happy birthday to all.

Your blog's are all so great and cover everything from sad to happy events. As you put your comments in your blog's I can see into your heart and lives. The way you exercise the gospel principals to guide your life to writing letters to the girls at girls camp. From jumping off counter tops to putting a smiley face on the end of a nose. Working at the Church cannery and visiting church sites in a distant city. Celebrating birthdays to attending a funeral. Hoping that someone needs to be driven somewhere and attending a youth Temple trip. Being in a slow parade to getting a speeding ticket. Going to a Ward camp out to having three grand-daughters spend time with us.

Your mother and I love each and every one of you more than you will ever know.
Love mom & dad

Wedding Reception

On Saturday the 25 the reception was held
near home. It was beautiful, outside at the
club house on the golf course.
We found great seats to sit, visit and
people watch.
We are on the right side in the back of the picture
All the cousins has a great time "decorating"
their car.

Even the little cousins got to help.
When it was all over, standing along side the pool for
the evening was more then the cousins could handle,
it was time to get wet, one way or another!
One got thrown in, then two, then they would just
jump for the fun of it!!

Grasshopper and a Cat

We got home from Denver late, we were
all tired from our great day!! Jolene took her blankets
she had in the van to her room to get her bed ready,
when out jumped a grasshopper!! I am afraid to say, but
I have pass on my fear of grasshoppers to her. She screamed
as we have NEVER heard her scream. She came running in to our
room very shaken up!! Ward was our hero!! He went in her room found
the stowaway and then.....Ella say it!!
Ella in an inside only cat but had no problem
playing and tormenting this grasshopper!!
Notice the grasshopper right under her nose, he got away
again!!!
And just in case your wondering,
NO we did not let her eat it in the house,
it went for a "swim."

A Wedding

The only way we seem to get away lately is
if there is a funeral or a wedding!! We left on the
evening of the 23 and headed to Denver for our
nieces wedding in the morning. We stayed at a nice
hotel, ate a great breakfast and then were able
to witness a beautiful ceremony in the Denver Temple.
For Eternity.....

Before we left all the cousins played basketball or tennis.
It was so sweet watching Ward teach Jolene how to use
a tennis racket, both completely dresses for the wedding.
I really love this man....

After the wedding we all to a bar-b-que at their
friends home. It was beautiful. Lots of food, family
and great fun for all the kids.
Raychel really enjoyed the zip line in the yard.
She was was doing great until the last time she went down
she lost her grip and fell off at the end and landed hard on her
arms in the sand, she was so brave, got up dusted herself
off, came in washed up, and got covered in band-aids!!

Hair cuts

Both of the girls have been wanting a new
hair style for school. Raychel just wants lots of
layers in the front so she could wear her hair
down more often without all the mess of tangles!!
Jolene decided she needed a "1st graders hair cut"
I am so glad she knew what it was because I didn't!!
I think they both look great, they are ready for school to start,
at least their hair is ready!!

Church sights in St. George

We couldn't leave without showing the girls
the St. George Temple and taking a
tour of President Brigham Young's home.
The last time we were there the girls were
too young to really understand, this time
they had some great questions to ask the
Sister Missionary who did our tour.

Dinning room
Sitting room in Pres. Young room, when the stairs
became to much for him he would eat and do his
work from his room.

View of the house from the side yard, so
beautiful inside and out, I really loved the yard.

Pool side

The pool was right outside our hotel room, we swam

day and night. I loved that the pool was outside.

It was so beautiful, surrounded lots of palm trees,

a nice big pool and don't forget the hot tub.

Jolene loved that this palm tree was her size!

Memories

As we were getting ready to leave, Ward, his sisters and brother
told stories on each other. They had some
great stories to tell, even some grandma Larsen had
to tell the facts on. It was a great moment between
the grand-kids and their grandmother.
