~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

Gardening

Finally the weather has warmed up enough to get the garden planted!! We were all so excited!
We cleaned up the yard, pulled the weeds, brought in good top soil, rototilled the ground and then once the threat of frost of over we planted our veggies! We planted cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, Walla Walla onions, crooked necked squash, red potatoes, and zucchinis. Now to be patient and wait! This is the hard part!

Happy Birthday Raychel

Wow, where has the past 12 years gone? It is hard to believe our baby girl is 12! She thinks she is ready to grow up! She is excited to go into Young Women's and join the older girls for different activities at church. This year she will be old enough to attend girls camp!
The kids are already out of school so we enjoyed celebrating her birthday together all day! We watched her favorite movie, Percy Jackson, went to her favorite place for lunch, she received lots of phone calls and texts, cards and birthday wishes from many of her friends and family. We had a wonderful little family party when Ward got home. By the look on her face I believe she liked all of her birthday gifts! She was so easy to buy for this year! It is hard to believe she is growing up, I have asked Ward many times today how did we get so blessed with such a sweet, kind, beautiful, daughter? I love being around her, she is such an amazing young lady.

12 Things I love about Raychel

1) She is kind. She is always looking out for and worried about others. She has so much to give.

2) She is a helper. She is always quick to get up and help and before she sits down she will ask what I need help with.

3) She has a great sense of humor. She can tease her dad and makes her sister laugh like nobody else can.

4) Jolene adores her. They are the best of friends. I couldn't ask for a better example in a big sister.

5) She loves to draw. She tries to draw all she sees. She has an eye for beauty.

6) She gets straight A's. She works hard for her grades.

7) Her parents adore her.

8) She shares my passion for photography. I love taking pictures together.

9) She is great at golf, but doesn't know it. It makes her dad proud she has a gift for the game, just like him.

10) She is musical. She has an ear for music. She is very talented with her flute.

11) She loves to read. She can read for hours, and then loves to share what she's read.

12) She knows who she is. She is a daughter of God. That fact shows from the inside out.

Soccer Ends

This has been a great year for Jolene in soccer. She was really excited to play and have time with the ball. She was much more aggressive then in years past. She really liked her coach who showed them some new moves and rotated them in often. She was sad for the season to be over, she wants to play again next Spring.

Spring Band Concert

The last band concert has come which means the school year is almost over. Raychel has done really well playing her flute. It is fun watching her grow with this instrument, her self confidence has grown so much. She is thinking about auditioning to play her flute for the school talent show in a few weeks. It is fun to watch her grow and develop this talent.

Mother's Day

If any of you know me you would know I love flowers! I love the way they look, their beauty, their colors, the way they smell, the way they make me feel and the joy I get for watching them grow and come back every year. It was only fitting that for Mother's Day the girls and Ward got me a really nice big planting pot with soil along with flower seeds and veggie seeds. I can't wait to get my hands dirty!!!

Dance Recital

The Dance Recital was early this year. The girls worked hard on their dances, they did a great job. The costumes were beautiful. It was nice to sit and watch once again as they performed. Raychel was pretty nervous for this years dance because it was so early, she didn't feel they knew the dance, and they kept making changes last minute. In the end it turned out great. They had two nights for performances and then they had a performance at the Rifle Rondevue the following weekend.
