~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

New Snow

What a beautiful, peaceful, snow covered  morning.  I love
the fresh fallen snow and how it blankets everything it lands on.
I had to go out and take pictures of everything.  Once the sun came
out I knew it wouldn't last.  I love how it hung it nice little piles on the
garden fence.  It was such a quiet morning, no birds singing, no dogs
barking, no one out walking, no kids playing, just pure silence.  I knew it
wouldn't last long once the neighborhood woke up and all the kids
came out to play.

Rainbow Loom Bracelets

Jolene got a loom bracelet kit for Christmas and has been
enjoying making bracelets for everyone who wants one, or not,
she even made one for Ella.  I'm not sure Ella as happy about
it as her friends, but she get to wear it anyway.

Double Baptism

We were invited to a baptism today for two super cute cousins.
We had to make them little towels, these two cute cousins love
each other so much, spend a lot of time together but couldn't be
more different.  They are setting a wonderful example for their
families by being baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter~Day Saints.
It was so nice to sit and listen to the sweet
talks on baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost.  To feel the spirit
testify to me that this is the true Church.  I sat there with tears
as I recalled my daughters being baptized and how sweet their
testimonies are today.  So glad to be a member of this
Church and receive so many blessings in my life.

There Off!!

I love that smile!
2 years and 3 months later.
The braces came off today.
What a beautiful smile!  I loved her
in her braces, I was a little sad to see them go.
When she got out and looked in the mirror before
we left the parking lot her smile was priceless!
Can't get enough of that smile!

~Sunday Photo~

Another Sunday with Drake in the house.
He was loving getting his belly rubbed.  He is such a great dog.
I am so glad he has become a great hunting partner for Ward, and a
really great family dog.

~Principal Honor Roll~

What a proud mommy moment!
Jolene made straight A's which puts her on the
Principal's honor roll, again!  I was able to attend their awards
ceremony this quarter.  It is hard to believe our baby is old
enough to be in middle school.  She is doing so well.

~Sunset~

The sunsets lately have been so beautiful!  I wish they
lasted longer.
I have this thing for old barns,
had to stop and get a picture of this one along the road.
 I love their look.
I wish walls could talk, I wonder what their story would be.....

Our beautiful "cowgirls"
Yes, we rolled Jolene's hair in curlers again for church.
Both girls looked so nice all dressed up.
We pulled their hair up in banana clips,
I use to wear them all the time when I was in high school.
They looked great in their hair.
They loved wearing their new boots and picked their
outfits out carefully to work with them.

~Friday~

Jolene is loving making these rainbow
loom bracelets.  She has found some great
tutorials, this one took over an hour!  But, it
turned out great. I will have to post a picture later.
Later in the evening we rolled her hair in sponge
curlers.  She has wanted to do this for a few days,
so we did it! We can't wait for morning to see
the results.

~Reading~

After school we stopped at the library to pick up a few
books and ran into some great friends from church.  We visited with
Gloria when I notice Max sitting off to the side reading.  He looked
so relaxed sitting there, legs stretched out, his cane resting against the
chair, I love his hat and his hand handing over the arm rest.  It
was one of those moments I  had to capture.

~Relaxing~

Who wants to pay the bills, right a grocery list, or
a menu when you have this snuggled on your lap?
Not me!

~Puppy Love~

These two love each other.  Once Jolene had sat on the floor Drake
went right over and laid on her lap.  It was so cute how he kept
looking up at her every time she stopped petting him.
She loves that fact that he wants to be with her.

~Happy New Year~

It's the 2nd of January and we headed out on this amazingly
beautiful day for a drive in the mountains.  We headed out with
a direction in mind and where we would end up but not knowing
what we would find in between.  It was a perfect day in every way.
We saw some beautiful country we had never seen before, walked through
the snow in the middle of nowhere, saw this beautiful old church with
a bell tower, took some great pictures, bought cowgirl boots in a small town,
laughed, told stories, drank hot cocoa, and ended the day
with dinner together before heading home.
It was a day I hope we never forget!
