~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

Happy Birthday

Not only is it the end of 2009 it is also
Jolene's 7th birthday!! I can't believe my baby
girl is 7!! She has really grown this year.
She loves
school
reading
little ponies
littlest pet shops
bookstores
shopping
singing
writing letters
purple
playing in the snow
play dates
new friends
pretty dresses
fancy painted nails
eating out

This is the 3rd year we have gone and gotten nails done
for her birthday, it has become a fun tradition for the girls
and the lucky friend who comes with us.

And then lunch out with great friends. I
can't remember the last time I laughed so hard!!
The girls even told us mom's "inside voices please!"
Which only made us laugh more!!

Dinner, presents, and cake.
This year it was all about the
wish!!
It's hard to believe this little girls is 7!
I have enjoyed every minute with her.
She loves to give hugs,
say I love you before she leaves a room,
she gives the best most honest compliments,
when she laughs you can't help laughing with her.
The day she was born our family was complete!
She was so excited to check her height with
last years mark.
She's growing up !!!

Good Samaritan

I have no idea who this "Good Samaritan" was.
All I know is he showed up a couple of times after the
bad snow storm and tried to clear our forgotten street.
He not only cleared the street,
but he cleared out in front of the driveways.
Thank you whoever you are!!!

Christmas Morning

I LOVE Christmas morning!!!
The anticipation is overwhelming!! I can't
wait for the girls to wake up and come downstairs to see
all that Santa left and the gifts that were bought with love
and care for each one. I love being able to reflect on the
greatest gift, the gift of our Saviors love.

Lots of hours of cutting, sewing and snipping were
put into the two rag quilts I made for the girls.
Every year I try to make them something they can
have forever that will mean more to them the older they get.
This year not only did I make them the quilts but pj pants for them
and their favorite dolls and an aprons for them and their favorite dolls.
From this reaction of hugging the quilts makes it so worthwhile!

Chritmas Eve

Christmas Eve pajamas was a tradition the
Page's have done for as long as I have been in
the family. I thought it was so fun to watch
all the kids open their new cozy pajamas so when
our kids came along we carried it on.
Now they are cozy and ready to fall asleep
with thoughts of sugar plums dancing in their heads.

Christmas Dresses

Christmas Dresses
2006
2007
2008
Our Christmas beauties.
I don't know about you but we have had the tradition
of getting new {fancy} Christmas dress every year for Christmas.
Months ahead we search the Internet in hopes of THE dress.
If that doesn't produce THE dress then we hit every store
we can find until we find THE dress. The girls and I really enjoy this
time together. As they get older their taste change. It's fun watching them
get excited when they try on THE dress they have been thinking of.
Then we {patiently} wait for the Sunday before Christmas
{unless Christmas in on Sunday then they wear it that day}
to wear it for all to see. They look like the princesses I know they are.

First Band Concert

Raychel has really enjoyed playing the flute this
year in middle school. The students had to take a playing
test to see how well they were doing to determine what
"chair" position they would have in the class. She practice
hard nightly and was so nervous the day of the test, she wanted
first chair but would be okay with second chair. She came
home so excited, she had earned the second chair in her band class.
December 17th was her first band concert.
She looked so beautiful,
she had butterflies in her tummy and was so excited to
be in her first band concert. Her class did great.
She couldn't stop smiling!!

Winter Wonderland

What an amazing sight to see..... SNOW. We had a snow
day (no school) and the girls couldn't get enough of it!!
They played outside for hours,
making snowmen,
forts,
and just laying around in it!!!

Building a snowman together

Team work!!!

The girls were so proud of the finished snowman, they had so much fun working on him most of the day together.

Sunday beauties

Do you ever stop and really look
at your children and think,
"They are mine!"
I count my blessings everyday
that I have been entrusted to be
their mother!
