~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

~Autumn

Have you ever had one of those days where you felt love, peace, joy, and  was overflowing with happiness? That was my weekend.  We headed out on Friday when Ward got home from work.  The trailer was loaded so all we had to do was hook up the truck and away we went.  We arrived in the mountains late.  In the morning it was like Christmas, I couldn't wait to see all the Fall colors, the lake and enjoy our days away.  While the girls and I got ready for the day Ward took off with for a quick 2 hour motorcycle ride. He took his camera phone and took pictures he knew I would love.  When he returned we had lunch then we all headed up the mountain to see all the colors!  I was so excited!  I love this time a year and seeing part of the country we haven't seen before.  I was overwhelmed with peace as we drove.  I couldn't stop thinking this world was created for our pleasure.  It was created for us to enjoy and love.  To look around its hard not to feel the power of Heaven.  I felt so blessed to be with my little family, laughing, talking and spending this time without the world getting in the middle.  We got back into camp in time to start dinner and watch a powerful lightening storm come through.  We all sat out under the awning enjoying the storm.  When we went in to eat I was asked to say the blessing on the food,  I could hardly get through the prayer.  My emotions were so strong for the love I feel for my Heavenly Father and the beautiful life He has allowed me to live.  I have been watched over, comforted, blessed and guided to  this stage in my life and am so grateful for all I have.  This weekend was very fast, but it was amazing in memories!

Cinderella Ballet

We saw the Sleeping Beauty Ballet a couple of years
ago and couldn't wait to see more Fairy Tale Ballets.
Several months ago we bought tickets to see the
Cinderella Ballet, and it's finally here!
We headed to Denver early Saturday morning to spend the
day around town, check into
a hotel, eat and head to the Ballet.
What a beautiful night!
The Ballet was wonderful,
I am so glad we are able to take the girls to
the ballet, see plays and expose them to
things outside of our small town.
Every day make a memory

Reflections

After the Solo Ensemble I took the girls up to see
Jodi in the hospital.  We had a really great visit.  It
had been nice talking to her on the phone getting a text
during the day but to walk in and see her for myself
was a relief.  We went on a little walk around the hospital
catching up and see some great sight in the hospital.  While
we walked around Jolene and Ashley had fun taking
pictures of themselves in anything that showed
their reflections.  After we had been there for
several hours we said our good byes and headed to the mall
to pick up some things the girls needed grab a snack and
head for home, it had been a great day for us all.

Solo and Ensemble

It's that time of year.
The annual Solo and Ensemble performances.
The group Raychel was part of did really well.
It was fun to watch them perform.
These kids are so talented.
They got their scores later in the day and
they received a 1.
Perfect score!

I know Jolene had much more fun playing dress up with
Ella then Ella did getting dresses up.

Valentine's Day

I am so in love!
Everyday I fall deeper deeper in love with
the most amazing man ever!
He came home today with
these gorgeous roses.
I remember our first Valentine's Day,
he showed up at my mom's home
in between work and class to
bring me roses.
I thought I was in love then, it is nothing
compared to the love I feel today.
Every day only gets better and better.

A Young Valentine

Raychel came home from school with this beautiful
long stem red rose.  There is a boy at school who has
taken a liking to her and gave her this rose for Valentines day a
day early.  Then today he sent her a singing Valentine's gram.

Great Grand Neice

My nephew Christopher and his wife Amanda had a
sweet little girl on January 24.  Her name is
Lilly Louise, Weighing 7 lb 9 oz. 20 in long.
What a wonderful reason to make a quilt!
I love to sew and make new things.  When the
girls and I found this material I had to buy it not knowing
for who. I only wish we all lived closer so I could
snuggle her in her new blanket.

Family Drive

We had such an amazing day.  I love the way the
mountains look all covered in snow.  I wanted to go for
a mountain drive to see all the snow. It was a wonderful
way to spend a cold day.  We headed out to the mountains
with no destination in mind.  I love having my family all
together.  We laugh, tell stories, catch up on the week,
see country we wouldn't normally see, and don't forget the
car snacks which usually consists of a little bag of
laffy taffy so we can share the jokes. The jokes are nothing
special, it's the thought behind them.  On our first camping
trip to the cabin we bought a bag, the girls were little and laughed
at the silly jokes made by kids.  Now when we head to the mountains,
or camping we grab a bag for the ride.
Every moment makes a memory.
