~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

Welders

Ward brought home welding job over the weekend
and the girls thought it was the coolest thing ever!!
They had to be in the garage helping with
anything they could to be near the action.
It was pretty cute to see them in the welding
helmet watching and giving their suggestions.
Jolene in the welding helmet
Raychel in the welding helmet.

First Day Of School

The end of summer has come, it's
hard to believe another school year
has started. Both the girls
were really excited to go back and see
their friends. We loaded back packs,
got lunch ready, set out clothes and got to bed
early Sunday so we would be all ready for Monday.
The girls are excited for the new adventures but
very sad that they would be in different schools.
Last year the girls had lunch time together and Raychel
would volunteer to read to Jolene's class.
The are both in for a great year!!

Air Show

We had a great time Saturday, Ward went golfing with
a great friend, then we headed off to the Air Show.
There were so many amazingly cool airplanes. The girls
were really excited to check them out, and look inside, and
hear the stories the people were sharing.

So much history!

This was really cool to watch, this man was
on the outside of the plane, "hanging out."

Amazing "fireworks"

The heat from the wall of fire was intense!

After the air show we went to dinner out of town to
celebrate the girls going back to school, then we stop
at Dairy Queen for ice cream!
Yummy!!
The man of my life!!

After ice cream we went over to the river and watched
the boaters and these kids ride the waves.
Crazy, the water
is so cold.
The girls really enjoyed the view and
visiting by the river
The girls are such good friends. I love watching
their relationship develop and become stronger.

Bananas!!

We had a great day at Bananas with

friends. The kids enjoyed the arcade, bumper

boats, mini golf, and laser tag. After several

hours of playing we went out to dinner

then headed home.

It was a great way to end summer vacation!

Ashley and Jolene like to ride together, later in

the day Jolene wanted her own boat!!
The wetter the better!!
The unwritten rule with the kids is to surround
the adults and soak them!!

What a "rough" group!!

Feeding the ducks

Saturday August 8, we headed out of town after the
parade and spent the day together.
Summer vacation is quickly coming to an end.
We went to lunch, did some shopping then
stopped and feed the ducks and geese.
What a beautiful day.
The girls really enjoyed feeding
the duck and the geese. Some of the geese
were so trusting they would come close enough
to eat from your hand. Raychel had no problem letting them
take the bread from her hand, but Jolene would jerk
her hand back last minute, the geese would "honk'
at her and walk over to Raychel.

Homemade Freezer Jam

I had heard how easy freezer jam was, so
when raspberries went on sale, I had to try for myself.
Wow, are they easy!! I made the first batch, Raychel
made the second batch, and Jolene finished with the
third batch. I can't believe I didn't try this before.
I learned something new today!!!
