~Best Friends

Drake had a rough day and needed to go to the vet today for a some testing.  The last time I took a dog to the vet was when Cami died, it was a rough day for us both.  I was able to pick him up just before I picked up the girls so Drake got to go for a drive.  He was pretty sedated so he slept most the time.  Jolene and Drake have a special connection, so she was pretty upset and worried about him.  They spent most of the late afternoon on the patio together.  I think it helped both of them get over the day better.

Another Sunday with Drake in the house. 

He was loving getting his belly rubbed.  He is such a great dog.

I am so glad he has become a great hunting partner for Ward, and a

really great family dog.

~Puppy Love~

These two love each other.  Once Jolene had sat on the floor Drake

went right over and laid on her lap.  It was so cute how he kept

looking up at her every time she stopped petting him. 

She loves that fact that he wants to be with her.

~The River

Today Rayhel was out of town for a track meet,

we got to spend the day with Jolene.

We headed to the river with Drake to watch

him retrieve then headed to breakefast.  It

was so much fun hanging out with her.

She is so cute one on one.  It is

funny how the girls act togther and

when they are apart.  I love these little

people I get be with all the time.

~Outdoor Fun

Today was a nice cool day with a little overcast.

Jolene had so much fun with Drake on a

lease walking him around the yard.  He did

much better in the backyard then he

does on a real walk. 

Before she came in she made the

cutest little sidewalk chalk drawing of herself

with Drake.  I sure hope this

dog knows how loved he is. 

~Relaxing

 A nice lazy Sunday.  We brought Drake inside today to spend time with the family, he loves being inside.  Raychel was laying on the couch with her knee propped up icing it half asleep when Drake thought she needed a little dog lovin'.   While we were playing a game Drake thought Ward's foot looked like a nice pillow.  It was so cute.

Cool Down

It has been a beautifullly warm Summer day, except to Drake.  He thinks it has been a HOT Summer day.  Raychel took pity on him and let him out to spray him down.  He loved it.  He just sat there allowing her to cool him down, but then once he got cooled down he ran around her playing in the water enjoying the freedom and cool water.

The newest member of

our family.

He is a feisty

7 week old

Black Lab Puppy.

After Cami past away I really didn't think

we would get another dog for awhile. Then

some of the guys Ward was duck hunting with heard

of a new litter of puppies. We talked about it a lot before

we went and picked him out. He was the only boy with 5

sisters, 3 black and 3 yellow. He is A LOT of work, but

also A LOT of fun!!
