~Garden Ends

Now that we are into October it is time to dig up the end of the garden.  It is a bitter sweet day to me, I love going to the garden all summer long to get our fresh produce, adding it to our families dinner.  The pride of growing our own food.  I love all that it takes to make the garden a success.  As we dig everything up and wash the veggies off I am already thinking of what we can do in the Spring to make the garden bigger and better.

For our first garden, we're doing pretty good! It was nice to tell the girls to go out in the garden to pick what we wanted for dinner! I could get use to this.

The Garden

I learned a lesson this year.

This is our first garden ever.

We have talked and planned where in the yard

we would plant a little garden for years.

This year we did it, finally. Just enough for our needs,

plenty to eat and can, but not over doing it.

Well, you really shouldn't plant your

3 squash plants,

3 zucchini plants and

1 lonely tomato plant

all in the same spot, or

if you do make sure it's a

bigger spot.
