~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

~Family Party~

What a great day!!
I love our little intimate family parties for the girls birthdays. I love having their friends around to help celebrate their day, but there is something special about just having the family there. I love the look on her face with each gift. I really love how excited she was when she opened her own set of scriptures and the new bag to put them in along with her baptism book!! She couldn't wait to get a pen and start writing all about herself inside.
What a wonderful day!!
It is hard to believe our baby girl turned 8 today. This is a milestone birthday, the day she turns 8, the year she gets baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and attends achievement days for the girls at church. She has grown so much this past year with her testimony, her faith, and her excitement to be a member of the church. I must admit, I have struggled with her turning 8. With her independence, her wanting to be and do more on her own. She is our baby, yet she is growing up into such a sweet, independent young lady, who no longer is a baby.

Happy 4th of July

We had such a great day with lots of pictures to look back and remember on. We enjoyed not only watching the parade but the girls had fun be in the parade this morning. Jolene has been doing cheer leading this summer and they got to walk in the parade doing cheers along they way, then at the park at the end they were able to entertain again. She looked so cute and had a great time. Raychel and a friend decorated their bikes to ride in the parade also. She did an amazing job, it looked great coming down the road. After the parade we went to the golf course and had a putting contest. What fun, Jolene makes us laugh harder every day. She discovered if she gets on her hands and knees she can line the ball up better and sink the putt. She celebrated every time!! Later in the evening went into Glenwood Springs and had a BBQ with several different families and watched the fireworks display. While we were starting to eat it really began to rain, Raychel was able to get a picture of the double rainbow afterwards. We had such a great day, and all of this is possible because of the men women who have given and still give their lives everyday for me and my family, I am forever grateful to them all.

Back Tracking

(Sorry about going backwards, but since I print
my blog into a book I couldn't forget the
class party for Jolene. She was sick the
next day so we missed Raychel's party but
we heard it was also lots of fun!)
A great Kindergarten Christmas party
the one day Jolene had to go to school!!

A Christmas Class picture
A rowdy game of musical chairs!!
