Grandpa Neal H. Larsen

ST. GEORGE - Neal H. Larsen passed away on July 8, 2009. He was born October 22, 1922 in Brigham City, Utah to Hans Ethelbert and Sophronia Johnson Larsen. Neal married Illa Ruth Jeppesen in Preston, Idaho on November 26, 1941. They were later sealed in the Logan Temple on June 29, 1959.
His life was full of service to his family and fellow man. He dedicated his life to his family and church. He worked as a counselor in several bishoprics, High Priest Leader for many years and then alongside his wife in the St. George Temple for ten years. Neal was always found doing good for others.
Neal is survived by his wife of 67 years, Illa Ruth Larsen; daughters: Illa Rae (George) Sparks of Richland, Washington and Nancy Knight of St. George, Utah; grandchildren: Heather Larsen, Hillarie (Dan) Kennedy, Bryton (Jared) Call, Elizabeth Knight, Sterling (Christine) Page, Paris (Jerry) Rodgers, Ward (Heather) Page, and Lara (Shane) Hope; sister, Lorna Phillips; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sunset Stake Center, 82 N. Dixie Dr., St. George, Utah. Visitation will be on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Stake Center, prior to services. Interment will be at the St. George City Cemetery.
