~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

Reflections

After the Solo Ensemble I took the girls up to see
Jodi in the hospital.  We had a really great visit.  It
had been nice talking to her on the phone getting a text
during the day but to walk in and see her for myself
was a relief.  We went on a little walk around the hospital
catching up and see some great sight in the hospital.  While
we walked around Jolene and Ashley had fun taking
pictures of themselves in anything that showed
their reflections.  After we had been there for
several hours we said our good byes and headed to the mall
to pick up some things the girls needed grab a snack and
head for home, it had been a great day for us all.

~No School Days

We are loving no school on Fridays.
Jolene and Delaney had fun getting together all Summer long, they haven't let Fall change that.  They are taking full advantage of the no school days on Friday. They have so much fun together and can be pretty creative.

~Bob & Nuts~

Meet Bob and his wife, Nuts.

Jolene has wanted these squirrels for a long time. She said she wants to name them Bob and Nuts, even before she had them in her possession. We searched high and low for these two. We looked online, we looked in every store we entered. We finally found Bob first about an hour from here, it was a bittersweet day because there was no Nuts. We took a trip to Utah and found Nuts! I know you are probably saying they look alike, how can you tell them apart? That was my question, but Bob is a little taller them Nuts and their coloring is a little different. Jolene was so excited! She couldn't wait to buy her and get her out to the car to meet up with Bob. I love the imagination of this girl, her stories and the love she has for her stuffed animals. She did sleep with them under one arm and Max under the other. Then one night I saw the couple sleeping in their own bed. She said they kept falling out of bed they were happier in their own bed.

~Dance~

Friday night, dance night!

The winter wonderland dance!

Raychel was so excited to go hang out with her friends and enjoy herself.

They had so much fun. They posed for some pictures before they left,

they had to much fun posing and being silly together. Sometimes I

wish I could be a fairy in her pocket and hang out with her,

watch her, and learn from her.

She came home with lots of stories, laughs, and jokes from the night.

I am so glad she has surrounded herself with some great friends

to associate with and be an example to.

~Spring Break and Friends~

Spring Break is quickly coming to an end. The girls had a few friends over, enjoying the pleasant weather that finally arrived! They took full advantage of being able to get outside run around, play on the trampoline and head to the park. They had a mud cake bake off in the backyard, ate pizza, drank pop, enjoyed sweets and ended the night with a movie! I think I am as disappointed as the girls are that Spring break has come to an end.

~Sidewalk Chalk~

Today was one of the first really nice days. The girls didn't have school so they played outside in the backyard with friends all day. If they weren't here they were at their friends home. It was so nice to have some outside time without being bundled up in jackets!! They all seemed to soak in all the sunshine they could. Both of the girls came in with beautiful little red cheeks. I love the thought of Spring being here, flowers, green grass, longer days, warm weather and bare toes!!

~Girl Party~

We had a house full of girls today.  It was fun watching them all interact.  We had Sierra over for the day while her mom had shoulder surgery, Jodi had to work so we had her two girls and then of course Sara, the little girl who I watch weekly. The older girls wanted to mother Sara, but she wanted nothing to do with them.  She was my little shadow for the morning. Jolene and Sara helped me take down the Christmas tree and decorations while the others watched a movie downstairs by the fire.  It was fun having the two girls helping me.  Sara was so proud of herself when she would put the ornaments in the box. I loved having Jolene helping me.  She is so fun.  She asks some of the best questions.  She has so much going on inside her little mind.  After answering all her deep throughout questions I am tired!  I love her ability to love life.  After lunch when Sara left the other girls started to play the Wii.  They had so much fun.  The Manera girls ran over to their home to get extra controls so 4 out of the 5 could play at a time.  They played some dance game that had them laughing so hard.  It was fun to see them all enjoying their last days of Christmas vacation.

~Play date~

Jolene and Loralai had a great play date after school!
They played everything they could before they figured out
they needed to make perfume! They had gathered pine
needles, lip gloss, water, candy canes, and air freshener.
They mixed it all together let it sit for awhile and then put
a little on their necks! They couldn't believe it when Raychel
and I turned them down to wear it also! When Loralai's
dad came they split it between them and couldn't wait
until Monday to wear it to school!!
We are hoping she forgets by then!!

Bananas

What a fun day!!  We helped Nicole celebrate her 12th birthday with lots of fun!!  The girls had so much fun hanging out together, getting wet, playing games, and driving goat carts and don't forget laser tag.  It was also perfect weather to be outside and playing bumper boats.  The girls would gang up on each other or just on some poor stranger who had no clue it was coming.  It was fun watching them drive the goat carts around the track.  They loved passing each other, going fast and just being behind the wheel. They had some of the goofiest faces as they would come around the track.
