~My Reason For Our Blog~
"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experiences." — Gordon B. Hinckley

Sunday Crafts

The girls watched some of the Super Bowl, enjoyed the snacks, teased each other
about what team was better, then broke out the crafts.  These two girls LOVE
crafts.  They are also addicted to Pinterest.  I love how they search
out new ideas for their rooms, new ways to paint their nails, fun hair
ideas, recipes and of course crafts.  This is one of the latest ideas they
have wanted to try, and today was the perfect day.

~Holiday Crafts~

This season I felt a little crafty. I found a couple of really great web sites, and orded these kits for some easy fun crafts for the holidays. The girls and I had fun making these and enjoying them around our home.

Crafts

This was a typical any given day in our home this Summer.

Crafts!

The girls love crafts.

We had so much fun when went shopping at Hobby Lobby! It was craft over load! What to do? Where to start? The girls couldn't wait to get home and get started! I love how much thought goes into their projects. The picked out the perfect movie, got out all the supplies, think about the design, color scheme, what kind of brushes, snacks, and got to work!

~Crafts~

Today is not only April Fools Day, but it is also the last Friday of Spring Break. We have had so much fun this week. We have done crafts, sewed, baked, cooked, played games, went to the library, watched movies and had friends over and went to friends. I have loved every day with our girls. I love hearing their stories, having them retell me what they are reading, seeing how creative they are and hearing their laughter. Having them home for the week makes us all excited for Summer vacation. So much to do! We made lots of really cute hair clips and even clips for their clothes, bags or jackets. The are called yo-yos. They were so easy! The girls had so much fun picking out the materials they wanted and then hand sewing them. They got to be pretty quick and were making them while we watched movies. Another great Spring Break!

~Crafts and Sunshine~

With Spring in Colorado any weather is possible and with Spring Break the end of March it can be pretty crazy weather wise. This morning the weather was pretty cool so the girls worked on many different crafts. We painted, watched movies, went to the library and played games. It is fun doing different crafts and seeing how creative the girls can be. I really enjoy this time with them. The are so much fun to be with.

~Journal~

We have been cleaning out the spare room and organizing the hall closet this past week for the arrival of my parents at the end of the week. In the cleaning process we found a great blank book not only on the inside but the cover as well. Jolene was so excited when we found this book she disappeared while I finished cleaning. When I got done I found her busy in her bedroom working in her book. She titled it, All about Jolene. She decorated the front and started working on something inside. She was so busy she didn't even notice me watching her. I loved seeing her working so hard, she was so happy with whatever she was working on. She told me I needed to wait, it wasn't ready to see yet. I can't wait!!!

~Crafts~

Time off of school usually means forts for one child,
and crafts for the other. This time she made a little
mushroom village. I wish sometimes I could get in her
little mind and see what she is thinking while she is creating.
She has so many ideas running through her head.
She loves to read the Tinker Bell books,
mysteries, and young romances, as well
as Greek mythology. I think her imagination
comes out beautifully in her projects
because of the books she reads
to the movies she watches.
